Dr Girish Kumar is a distinguished faculty member and scientist at the Elite School of Optometry, Chennai and Kolkata. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Optometry from the Elite School of Optometry in 2002 and earned his PhD in Physiological Optics and Vision Science from the prestigious University of Houston in 2009. He subsequently pursued postdoctoral research at the esteemed University of California, Berkeley, from 2010 to 2016.

He is currently associated with the ESO Visual Performance Laboratory (ESO VisPerLab) and the ESO Sports Optometry Laboratory (ESO SOL) at the Elite School of Optometry. His areas of expertise include visual psychophysics, physiological optics, adaptive optics, binocular vision, sports vision, computer programming and eye tracking, among many others.

With extensive experience in vision science and experimental research, Dr. Girish integrates scientific investigation and technological innovation to advance the understanding of visual function and performance. His contributions to research and optometric education reflect his commitment to advancing the field of vision science.
