Mr. Praveen Kumar is a Senior Optometrist at the Sankara Nethralaya Medical Research Foundation, Chennai, where he has served since February 2008. He completed his B.Optometry from the Elite School of Optometry, Chennai. With over 18 years of experience at the institution, he is recognized for his expertise in binocular vision, vision therapy, and neuro-optometry. He works at the dedicated Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy Clinic (Orthoptics) and at the specialized Neuro-Optometry Clinic, where he manages patients with binocular and neurological vision problems, including accommodative anomalies such as accommodative spasm.

Mr. Kumar is also a faculty member at the Elite School of Optometry, where he teaches Binocular Vision. His teaching draws directly on his day-to-day clinical practice, helping students connect classroom concepts with real patient care.
